    Applying For Developer

On this thread you will learn some rules and requirements for applying to join the developer team, alongside some helpful tips and tricks to ensure you have the best possible chances of getting accepted.

+Alongside all of our general forum community rules that must be followed when you post anything on the forums, there are a few small rules that you need to follow while applying for a position on the team.

+You need an account to post an application. As a developer, you will need to have a forum account and use the forums regularly. Applications made under a guest post will be deleted, no questions asked.

+Do not ask staff to accept your application.

+As a developer, you will be responsible for 4 hours a week. So please keep this in mind when you’re applying. Will you be able to fulfill this responsibility? If you can't fulfill this responsibility, you run the risk of being let go from the team.
    Available Roles

Applying for developer will allow you the opportunity to develop and code plugins for the Ultracraft server.

    Required Questions

All of the questions listed in this section are required. Skipping any questions that are found in here will make your application exempt of approvals until fixed. Please ensure you’ve answered every question here before posting your application.

+What is your ingame username, and nickname?
+What position are you applying for?
+What timezone do you live and/or work in?
+Can you use Slack? Learn more about it here.

+What reasons do you have for applying to become a staff member?
+What can you contribute to the team that you can’t as a player?
+Do you get along with all players and staff? If not, why?
+ Do you have experience with Java source control (git, we use Bitbucket)?
+ Do you have any experience with MySQL?
+ How much experience do you have with Bukkit development? Can you link to a public repository that you have contributed to?

    Optional Questions

All of the questions listed in this section are optional. Skipping any questions that are found in here are perfectly okay, however answering these questions will improve the potential of your application. Feel free to add on your own questions as well.

    +What is your current rank?
+What is your life like outside of the server?
+Do you work or attend school? What times?
    +What is your real age?
+What would you consider to be your “mental age”?
+What is your average WPM? (You can test your WPM HERE).
+Have you had experience staffing servers in the past?
+How long have you been playing Minecraft?
+What are some examples of you helping in the community?

    Suggested Formatting

We believe that putting effort in to your own application is a sign of maturity and dedication, so we won't quite hold your hand through the process of making an application. However, we are willing to provide you these short few tips on what to format when applying. Please reference these tips when posting your application.

Bold your questions, leave answers unformatted.
Organize it the best you can by providing the question and then the answer.
Don’t make your text too large.
Use color to emphasize important phrases, but don’t overuse colors.
    Be detailed in your answers.
Overshare information, don’t risk not answering something completely.
